It could be said that only those who wish to test the "limits" of
O-Gauge Railroading would want these 36 Volts.
But the idea behind this project is not to "blow out" the fancy new electronics in "Modern 3 Rail Engines" - that can be 100% controlled by the user!
What we offer on this website is a "modular" way of providing Power, Circuit Information (Amps/Volts) and Circuit Protection which can now do much more than any Legacy AC Transformer or any "Modern" AC Transformer.
36 Volts are not utilized to "overwhelm" Engine Motive Power, but actually serve to "save" Power!
You may, if you choose, as we did when we tested it - to "overtax" it - but even running the "Proteus" at 28 Volts does not adversely effect its performance or "promote a fire hazard".
It is a concept we hope will be "copied", actually.
But only time will tell...
