It is a Variac rated at 500 VA with a 5 AMP Fuse.
It is a "Chinese" Variac - which compares favorably with the Variacs we purchased from TAB (Technical Appliance Builders) in 1989.
We offer it for Sale as a stand-alone, but recommend you get the VaVa and the 36 Volts Toroid Transformer to complete the Set.
At the Syracuse Great NY State 48th Model Train Fair in November, we used 2 of these to run the O&W FA in the Video we have on YouTube.
One was plugged into 120 Volts and then set to 19 Volts and the other was used to control the Voltage from 0 to 19.
So it can be done, but it is Dangerous!
